The Unwritten With: JOEY MUTHENGI – ON TV, FAKE FRIENDSHIPS, & NOT WANTING CHILDREN

Joey Muthengi. She’s an introvert. A loner. A philanthropist. And an industrious hard-worker.

For this interview, Joey was raw, authentic, and she held nothing back. We agreed that she would only speak her truth; and her truth, did she speak.

Professionally, Joey is, in summary, a media personality. She has, over the years, worked with various media entities as a radio presenter, video jockey, reality music show host, and most recently, worked at Citizen TV,  as a weekday breakfast show co-host, before she resigned.

The Unwritten With: DR. WALE AKINYEMI – ON BETRAYAL, HAWKING, AND TRANSFORMING LIVES

I am in Dr. Wale Akinyemi’s home, in Karen.

Outside, the compound is green, and lush, and large.

Inside, the house is magnificent, with warm earthy tones for the decor, interesting black hardwood for the dinning area, and photos of him, his wife and their three, now young-adult children, on the walls.

The Unwritten With: NANCIE MWAI – ON BLOGGING, RELATIONSHIPS & LIFE

The Unwritten With: CLAIRE ONEKO – ON LIFE BEYOND HER FAMOUS POLITICAL SURNAME

Claire Oneko is a dreamer, a creative, and a film producer. She has with her, an extensive South African education and work experience under her belt. Her work has, over time, involved  some very impressive clients, this including KFC, the fast food chain.

On the day of her interview, Claire arrives at The Carnivore right on time. It’s mid-morning and she tells me she needs to get back home in good time, because they’re having a family gathering with her in-laws. She would also like to beat the rains.

As we walk into Carnivore from the parking lot, I ask about her surname, seeing as on her blog and on emails, she’d interacted with me using her brand name: Claire Ash Meadow, a name I found interesting.
